Layering for Fall - and becoming a chiffony

Hi!

I finally finished a top I started a while ago, a beautiful georgette print that I got from The Common Thread.

I have a love-hate relationship with these fabrics. While I love the look of a sheer top, sewing and caring for them is not easy. If you follow Project Runway, you know that there was a clique forming who would only use chiffon and silk on everything. Am I becoming one of them? Oh no!

They do make for great layering pieces, which are a must here in Austin, as the weather starts to cool down.

Casual Friday - Yes, Fall is here!

Hi!

I am so happy for the rainy day! It is much cooler than it had been for the past 2 months, which means jeans, layers, a pretty trench coat.

WIWW - Lake Edition

Hi,

While in other parts of the US, people are getting ready for Fall, here in Austin it is still really hot. So shorts and tanks are in order for a quick trip to Lake Austin for coffee.
